You can support this blog on Patreon. For each story published at „Menschen in Köln” a certain amount – chosen by you – is transferred to the author Alexandra Feldhofer. You can define your individual monthly limit and thus have complete control.
What is ist Patreon? Patreon is a platform founded by creatives for creatives. It enables modern patronage. You pay whenever a new story is published. In other words: You pay per product – Just like you would for a book, a newspaper, a magazine… or a beer in your favourite bar. Still, there’s one difference: You pay voluntarily.
Is this a subscription? No, it’s different. You can discontinue your agreement at any time and with immediate effect, simply via the Patreon-website. Also, you have complete control of how much you pay per story and how often per month.
Why should I pay? If you enjoy this blog, this is your opportunity to actively contribute to it. Payments enhance the continuity and quality of „Menschen in Köln”. As a paying reader, you get rewards: Depending on the amount you give, you see new entries earlier than other readers, receive a gift or can become an official sponsor. See Patreon for more information.
How yan I pay? You need either a credit card or a Paypal-account. The amount is collected monthly.
I have problems using patreon. I bet, you know someone who is familiar with shopping online (it’s really very similar). Just ask him or her for help. Or visit the Patreon Help Center. Or e-Mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why isn’t this blog simply ad-financed? For one thing: To keep the design of the blog clean and take no attention away from the photos and texts. And for another thing: This blog is about encounters, as authentic and pure as possible. It is about people encountering the city, it is about the author encountering the people and it is about readers encountering the blog. Consequently, Patreon gives you the opportunity to support „Menschen in Köln” directly and individually.
